iLife '11

Yesterday Apple announced a few new things...but I was particularly interested in iLife '11, which is Apple's suite of applications including iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand.

iPhoto:
  • New full screen modes - I like this feature.  Full screen when working with pictures is sweet.
  • Facebook enhancements - see comments from Facebook...from within iPhoto.
  • Emailing photos - many new cool templates to make emailing photos an art form.
  • New slideshows - several new slideshow options allow the user to create incredible slideshows that look like a professional built them for you.
  • Big leap in books - completely customize a book.
  • All new audio editing - the ability to edit audio, from within iMovie.  Nice.  It includes special effects.
  • One step effects - Now iMovie has an instant replay and the ability to create a "Flash and hold" effect.
  • People Finder
  • News and sports themes
  • Movie trailers - 15 movie trailers including an outline for cast members, studio logos, credits and a storyboard.
  • Flex Time
  • Groove Matching
  • New piano lessons
iLife:  Video showcase

I continue to think about the classroom...the kids who can make incredible projects to share and show their learning...not to mention the personal projects I can make at home for my family and friends!

I have already ordered it for home and it will be here in a few days.
